3CX Phone System for Grey Matter

Early in 2019, they approached Grapevine Connect to discover how they can modernise their legacy telephone system. There were many elements to consider but one of the key requirements was that the new system would have to be able to support employee home and remote working, as due to the exponential growth in the business, the corporate head office no longer had the capacity to seat all the staff.
In addition to home working, all of the usual unified communications features were required along with full integration into their Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
Naturally, as a Platinum 3CX partner, Grapevine presented 3CX Telephone system as the solution to all of the companies’ telephony problems.
Due other factors, it wasn’t until the global pandemic of COVID-19 hitting that the real need for a new PBX was brought to the fore. Following an initial proof of concept, Grey Matter were immediately impressed with the 3CX system and with the ease of deployment and integration into Microsoft Dynamics.
Grapevine provided two 3CX telephone systems (one for Grey Matter and the other for Sigma Software Distribution) hosted within our fully resilient data centre built specifically with 3CX in mind.
The two 3CX systems are then bridged using the built in 3CX PBX bridging technology which makes inter-company communication a breeze.
The last piece of the puzzle was the task to port the existing telephone numbers away from the existing carrier over to the new Tier-1 carrier SIP trunks connected to the two 3CX systems.
Grapevine managed the whole porting process on-behalf of the customer which proved to be a seamless transition from their legacy phone system to the newly created hosted 3CX systems.
